National Television Awards viewers were left feeling ‘torn’ over Ant and Dec’s snub as they declared ‘who should have won’.

Stars from UK TV’s biggest programmes were gathered at London’s O2 for the event’s 30th edition on Wednesday night.

Joel Dommett was on presenting duties for the event, which saw Steve McFadden , Molly-Mae Hague and Jeremy Clarkson among the winners.

The big shock of the night arrived in the Best Presenter category, where Ant and Dec were looking to win the award for the 24th time in a row.

Going up against Alison Hammond, Claudia Winkleman Stacey Solomon Gary Linker, the Geordie duo were once again the favourites heading into the night.
