SELINSGROVE — Abigail Eichner was just 5 years old when terrorists linked to the Islamic extremist group al-Qaeda hijacked four commercial passenger airplanes and flew two of them into the World Trade Center in New York City on Sept. 11, 2001.
Eichner, now a 28-year-old Selinsgrove resident and an educator, has always had an interest in what is now viewed as one of the deadliest terrorist attacks in history. She has visited both the museum and the memorials more than once — reading, listening and learning.
