HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A man convicted of aggravated assault on a public servant in the death of a Nassau Bay police officer in 2019 learned his fate Wednesday.
A judge sentenced Tavores Henderson to 58 years in prison for the death of Sgt. Kaila Sullivan.

Henderson was found guilty by a jury on Sept. 4 for the December 2019 crime.
Sullivan was killed when Henderson, who she was trying to apprehend, jumped into a vehicle and ran her over, officials said.
After a two-day manhunt, the suspect, later identified as Henderson, was arrested and charged with capital murder.
