The Haverford Police Department played the Haverford Fords varsity squad on Tuesday night in an annual community building event.
The police won the contest 40-36 to even up the overall series at 2-2-1, according to Sgt. Rob McCreight. It’s the fifth year in a row for the touch football game.
McCreight added that the game is part of a series of contests between the police and students during the school year.
The goal is to build positive relationships between police and students. Up next is basketball in the fall. Baseball will happen in the spring.
