The gunman who killed Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk fired from a Utah Valley University building roughly 200 yards from Kirk's event, a university spokesperson said Wednesday.

The spokesperson, Ellen Treanor, said the shot came from the Losee Center about 20 minutes after Kirk began speaking.

President Donald Trump announced Kirk's death on Truth Social, writing, "The Great, and even Legendary Charlie Kirk, is dead," and praising him as someone who understood and had the heart of America's youth.
