Jimmy Kimmel has taken to social media to weigh in on the assassination of Charlie Kirk , the conservative activist and Donald Trump ally who died at 31 years old after being shot at a college event in Utah. Kimmel, one of Hollywood’s most vocal opponents of Trump, advised his followers to stop with the “angry finger-pointing” in the immediate aftermath of the Kirk’s death.

“Instead of the angry finger-pointing, can we just for one day agree that it is horrible and monstrous to shoot another human?” Kimmel wrote on Instagram. “On behalf of my family, we send love to the Kirks and to all the children, parents and innocents who fall victim to senseless gun violence.”
