LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Well you can definitely feel the difference in the air now versus the last few days!

Dewpoints are up some 10 to 15 degrees over the last 24 hours. And with higher dewpoints is feels more uncomfortable outside.

This also means it will be much warmer in the morning hours. Thursday through the weekend will see little to no change in our weather with limited chances of rain. If any rains develops it would be very limited and not likely last very long. Highs will reach the low to mid 90s and the heat index could climb above 100 degrees! Morning lows will only reach the low to mid 70s as well.

Upper level high pressure will remain over our region well into next week and that means the weather pattern will not change for a while.
