LOUISVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — After more than 25 years of public service with the Jefferson County Clerk's Office (JCCO), Bobbie Holsclaw passed away at age 81 on Wednesday.

Jefferson County officials said in a news release on Sept. 10 that Holsclaw passed away peacefully in the morning, leaving behind a legacy of leadership, compassion, and integrity.

Officials said Holsclaw first took office in 1999, ready to revolutionize the vision of the JCCO. As county clerk, she served as chairperson of Jefferson County's Board of Elections, where she implemented private voting for those with vision impairments and mobility challenges.

According to Holsclaw's colleagues at the JCCO, her proudest moment was raising over $500,000 for charity during her tenure as county clerk.
