SUMTER, S.C. — The family of a Sumter County man killed in a hit-and-run crash on Saturday is speaking out, hoping someone will come forward with information about the driver responsible.
Gregory Davis, 62, was riding his 2020 Honda moped eastbound last Saturday night when he was struck from behind by an unknown vehicle, according to the Sumter County Coroner’s Office. The driver did not stop and left the scene.
Davis was pronounced dead at the scene.
“So, you can’t tell me that you don’t know who did it. So, our pact together is we are not done fighting for him, we want justice and we got to have it,” a family member said.
His loved ones say they’ve spent the days since his death trying to track down leads themselves.
