SAN FRANCISCO—On Sunday, September 7, 2025, just after 4:30 in the afternoon, the F-Line MUNI streetcar struck a passing pedestrian at 1129 Market Street in the area of the United Nations (U.N.) Plaza between 7th Street and 8th Street.

After the MUNI streetcar struck down the individual, it pinned them down. They were able extract themselves before a fire crew from the San Francisco Fire Department arrived on the scene. There was no need for any other heavy equipment to take out the victim from underneath the streetcar.

However, even though this individual was able to free themselves from the streetcar, this individual was taken to the trauma unit of a hospital sustaining serious injuries. The sirens of the ambulance were on because the injuries were serious. There have been no updates o
