ST. LOUIS - The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD) is calling for the public’s help in identifying a man wanted in connection to a felony stealing case.

SLMPD says that shortly before 12:50 p.m. on Aug. 25, a person in a wheelchair was heading home when the suspect allegedly stole the victim’s briefcase, which was placed on his lap.

Officials say the incident occurred in the 1000 block of Washington Avenue. The victim’s briefcase was eventually located by SLMPD, but it was damaged.

SLMPD says their person of interest is described as a Black male with a medium build. At the time of the event, the suspect was wearing a black hat, a black hair cap and a Cardinal’s jersey.
