Peoria leaders to host ‘Men Let’s Talk Series’ in efforts to combat youth violence

PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - After Peoria Police Chief Eric Echevarria encouraged more positive male figures to show up at the schools , another Peoria leader with the same passion is now inviting men to come together for a conversation.

Following that call to action, on Aug. 25, dozens of male figures showed up at several Peoria schools, including Manual, to show support for students.

Charles Miner, the owner of Think Training Center in the Northwoods Mall, is following suit by hosting a “Men Let’s Talk Series” with a theme called, “Where’s my Daddy?”

All male figures and dads are invited.

Miner said hosting an event like this is pivotal for adults and parents who may be struggling.
