MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) – The Janesville Water Utility has officially earned the title of Wisconsin’s Best-Tasting Tap Water, topping a field of competitors during a blind taste test Wednesday at the Wisconsin Section of the American Water Works Association (WIAWWA) Annual Conference in Madison.
Judges selected Janesville’s water as the overall winner, giving the utility the chance to represent Wisconsin at the 2026 American Water Works Association Annual Conference and Exposition (ACE) in Washington, D.C. There, it will compete for the title of Best-Tasting Tap Water in North America.
The contest featured both groundwater and surface water utilities, with finalists in each category going head-to-head in the final round. Neenah Water Utility earned the title of Surface Water Runner-Up.
