It was a big night for television as Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly were knocked off the top spot as Best Presenters at the National Television Awards . The Geordie duo, who missed the NTAs for filming in South Africa , have won the award every year since 2001. However in a shock turn of events, Gary Lineker took home the trophy this year. ‌

However they didn't lose out completely, as I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here! won best Reality Competition. ‌

It was a strong night for the BBC too, despite their many recent scandals, with EastEnde
