The community of Evergreen and people across the state watched in shock as a shooting at Evergreen High School left at least three students injured , including the suspect. Students were at lunch when gunshots rang out, leaving many confused and running for safety.

"It's a tragic day in Jefferson County as we have experienced previously. Our hearts go out to everyone affected by this senseless shooting today," said Jefferson County Sheriff Reggie Marinelli.
