SOUTHWEST MISSOURI — Multiple cities around Missouri are remembering the events of 9/11 by honoring the victims in various events.

Cities such as Springfield, Branson, Marshfield and Point Lookout have scheduled events planned to honor the victims who were killed on Sept. 11, 2001. • Springfield: The Springfield Area Memorial Stair Climb organization is holding an event at Hammons Field from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, by walking the equivalent of 110 stories of the World Trade Center. Their website says they are honoring the 343 firefighters who made the sacrifice on 9/11. • Branson: An event titled "Branson Remembers 9/11" is being held at the Branson Landing Fountain Stage at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11.
