Pitt volleyball might not have started the season off on a great note, but that’s not the case anymore. The Panthers got their third ranked win on Wednesday night during the The Shriners Children's "Showdown at the Net” in Fort Worth, Texas.
Many people had No. 3 Kentucky as the favorite heading into the nonconference match.
Coach Dan Fisher’s squad made a statement sweeping the Wildcats, 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-23). Not a single set was a blowout and likely could’ve gone either way, but the seventh-ranked Panthers were able to close out the match when it mattered.
