AKRON, Ohio — Two Akron natives — Swensons and Larry Nance Jr. — are teaming up for a day of giving back to their hometown that Galley Boy-loving Cavaliers fans can’t miss.
Nance, who played at Revere High School and is the son of a Cavaliers franchise legend Larry Nance Sr., played for the Cavs from 2018-21. He recently signed to a one-year free agent deal to return. To celebrate his homecoming , he’s headed to Swensons to try his hand at being a Curb Server in honor of a great cause.
The Cavaliers forward will be curb serving at Swensons West Akron location, 40 S. Hawkins Avenue, starting at 11 a.m. this Saturday, September 13. He’ll attempt to deliver all-star service until 2 p.m., all while raising funds and collecting school supplies for Akron Public Schools.
