CLEVELAND, Ohio - Two Cleveland teens on Wednesday pleaded not guilty to felony charges in connection with an Aug. 27 pursuit that forced Case Western Reserve University’s campus into lockdown.

Leon Terell, 18, was shot in the leg by a state trooper during the incident, according to authorities. He appeared via teleconference before Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge Ashley Kilbane for his arraignment.

Terell’s charges include four counts of aggravated robbery with firearm enhancements, along with failure to comply and other offenses. He and his co-defendant, Noreonna Echols, were indicted last week by a county grand jury.

Echols, 19, faces two counts of aggravated robbery with firearm enhancements. Both suspects denied the charges Wednesday.
