A Blount County man was convicted Wednesday of drugging and sexually torturing a young child.
The jury, after deliberating less than 15 minutes, convicted 48-year-old Ronald Shane Crow of sexual torture of a child under the age of 12, distributing a controlled substance to a minor, first-degree rape, three counts of first-degree sodomy, sexual abuse of a child under the age of 12, two counts of unlawful imprisonment, indecent exposure, and menacing, said District Attorney Pamela Casey.
“There are no words to describe what this young lady endured at the hands of Ronald Shane Crow,” Casey said. “He is evil.”
Evidence presented during the trial, which began Monday, that a 9-year-old girl was left in Crow’s care for the weekend on May 1, 2021.
