LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A man was taken into custody Wednesday after an hourlong standoff in west Lincoln.

Just after 3:30 p.m., officers were sent to a home near Eighth and Rose streets on a report of a protection order violation.

They confirmed that a 30-year-old Lincoln man was inside the home, according to the Lincoln Police Department.

The man initially wouldn’t come out, police said, but surrendered after about an hour.

He was booked in the Lancaster County Jail on suspicion of violating a protection order, a Class I misdemeanor.
