LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln man was sentenced to jail Wednesday in a methamphetamine case.

Jason Small, 47, got 270 days behind bars for possession of a controlled substance.

Lancaster County District Court Judge Andrew Jacobsen gave him credit for 20 days already served.

Small and his roommate, Christopher Simpson, were arrested in December before police searched their home near Southwest Eighth and West A streets.

Officers found 41 grams of meth and 4 grams of psilocybin mushrooms in the garage, according to court documents.

Small also had a bag with 1.4 grams of meth on him when he was taken into custody.

Investigators think Simpson was dealing drugs, while Small was just using.

Small was released on bail on Dec. 26 and had another run-in with the law a couple months later
