A man was critically injured Wednesday afternoon in a shooting in Chicago’s East Side neighborhood, according to police.

The unidentified man, 35, was approached by two men in the 10600 block of South Avenue J at 5:23 p.m., when one of them opened fire and shot him, police said. The 35-year-old man was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition.

No one was in custody as of late Wednesday.
