A man was injured late Wednesday in a shooting in Chicago's Austin neighborhood, according to Chicago police.

The man, 44, was outside at 7:23 p.m., in the 600 block of North Menard Avenue when someone shot him in his legs and chest, police said. He was able to get himself to West Suburban Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition.

No one is in custody.
