SINGAPORE (Reuters) -Vantage Data Centers said on Thursday it has secured a $1.6 billion investment led by an affiliate of GIC and a unit of Abu Dhabi Investment Authority to scale up Asia-Pacific operations, including the purchase of a data centre campus in Malaysia.
The U.S.-based company in a statement said the funding will support its acquisition of Yondr Group’s hyperscale campus in Johor’s Sedenak Tech Park.
It said the site, which will deliver more than 300 megawatts of IT capacity, will bring Vantage Asia-Pacific’s capacity to 1 gigawatt.
Both GIC and ADIA are existing investors in Vantage Data Centers.
