FARGO — The community gathered Wednesday, Sept. 10, to remember conservative activist Charlie Kirk as a young man with boundless energy and a love for his country.

Kirk, 31, was shot and killed Wednesday afternoon at an event at Utah Valley University.

A vigil Wednesday night at the Newman Center at North Dakota State University honored the founder of Turning Point USA.

Mourners included leaders of NDSU’s chapter of the conservative youth activist organization, who said their interactions with Kirk were always pleasant.
