SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — A bell echoing through time, a reminder of those who lost their lives, a sound bringing some back to what they saw in the weeks after 9/11.

Steve Ishler, a former White Deer Township EMS, says, "It was October, I think it was the fifth week. They needed two teams to go to ground zero, primarily for Port Authority Police Department, that was basically our orders to go there."

At the annual 9/11 memorial held at the South Williamsport Fire Department, Steve Ishler and Albert Morrison shared their stories of being two of the many first responders in our area who assisted in New York City following 9/11.
