RAPID CITY, S.D. (KELO) -- As the Rapid City Police Department investigates the city's latest homicide, officers are also increasing their visibility in the neighborhood where it happened.
Following recent violent crimes, people who live in the Oxford Apartments don't feel safe.
"Strangers in and out, calling the police because people are sleeping in the hallways and the laundry room, people trying to open our door and we've never really felt safe here." Oxford Resident Tia Ghost said.
Rapid City Police are taking steps to make residents in the area feel safe.
"We're having our officers go through there approximately once an hour, sometimes more. So yesterday, between like four thirty in the afternoon and eight in the morning, we were there 16 times and 13 were just us proactively," RC
