DUNNELLON, Fla. (WCJB) - Dunnellon’s district 2 council seat is being filled after months of being open.

Wednesday, city leaders voted to appoint Reese Taschenberger to the seat. He is a registered independent.

His seat has been empty since 2024, when Glen Stocker was elected- then resigned before he ever took the seat.

Taschenberger will serve in his role until November 2026.
