LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Gov. Andy Beshear has directed flags at all state office buildings to be lowered to half-staff in accordance with a White House proclamation.
Flags will remain at half-staff until sunset on Sunday, Sept. 14, to honor Charles James “Charlie” Kirk, who was fatally shot at a speaking engagement in Utah on Sept. 10.
The governor also ordered flags to be lowered on Thursday, Sept. 11, in remembrance of Patriot Day and in honor of those lost in the 9/11 attacks.
Gov. Beshear encourages individuals, businesses, and organizations across Kentucky to join in this tribute.
