YAKIMA, Wash. – The Yakima Humane Society has taken in 11 cats found in a field, confined in a tub and crate.
Kelli Peal, Director of Shelter Operation at the Yakima Humane Society, described the situation.
“Animal control for the city of Yakima brought in 11 cats, it was actually 10 cats and one tiny kitten. They were brought in from a field where they had been in a tub that was ziptied and in a crate that was padlocked. They were not very large, so all of those cats were in a very confined spaces. Surprisingly enough they are all very very social and loving cats. We’re not seeing any behavioral issues, they have just blossomed,” Peal said.
The cats were brought in a couple of weeks ago, and evidence suggests they had been in the field for a long time, according to the Yakima Humane So
