EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - People across the nation are grieving not only the loss of Charlie Kirk but also their sense of security.

“Honestly, anywhere could have been a location; there’s always going to be people that are hating on people anywhere we go,” said MSU student Audrey Rehaluk.

Charlie Kirk was a conservative political commentator who tragically lost his life on Wednesday afternoon.

He was shot in the neck during a rally at a college campus in Utah.

Back in April, Charlie Kirk was on the Michigan State University campus for a similar event.

“I don’t support any sort of political violence. We shouldn’t have to fear for our lives,” said MSU student Kelsey Gelderloos.

Kirk’s death is evoking not only sadness from students, but also anger.
