EVERGREEN, Colo. ( KKTV /Gray News) - Emergency personnel responded to a Colorado high school for reports of an “active assailant” in the area on Wednesday afternoon.
Jefferson County officials said the activity was first reported at Evergreen High School on Buffalo Park Road in Evergreen
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office initially said three people were injured during the shooting at the high school.
One of those three injured was later identified by authorities as the suspect; a juvenile male who is believed to have used a revolver. The sheriff’s office said he died from a self-inflicted injury.
The other two victims were transported to a hospital in critical condition.
