AUBURN, Ky. – A Logan County woman is giving back to a widowed neighbor, while raising money to adopt a child of her own.

On September 13, Kalah Collins will be heading to Auburn to fix the home of Evelyn Price.

Price lost her husband in 2004, and her house now needs some repairs.

Volunteers can help build a patio deck, paint or do landscaping.

Collins says she wanted to help Price because of the impact she’s made in the community.

“She has sit with so many of the community members, families from when they get sick and ill until the time they passed… and she’s just a very great person in the community. Everybody knows and loves her, and she’s willing to help. She’s given us so many others that I just felt like it was time to give back to her,” she says.
