Detroit businessman Paddy Lynch knows if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

That was his philosophy at the start of the season when news broke that he would be taking over the reins at the Dakota Inn, a 92-year-old German restaurant known for traditional food and decor, holiday sing-alongs, and a beloved Oktoberfest celebration. Lynch purchased the restaurant from third-generation owner Karl Kurtz, whose family founded the bar in 1933.
