Butler Area School District joined the News Literacy Project’s District Fellowship program this year, netting $30,000 in grants and customized support to implement news literacy education districtwide over three years.

The project has newly accepted nine districts in the U.S., to ensure students learn to think critically and engage responsibly with the news and information, according to a news release from the News Literacy Project.
