The Adams Board of Selectmen voted to put Police Chief K. Scott Kelley on paid leave during a closed-door session Monday night, according to The Berkshire Eagle .

The five-member body met in executive session “to discuss the reputation, character, physical condition or mental health, rather than professional competence” of an employee, or potential “discipline or dismissal, or complaints or charges,” according to the board’s agenda .
