BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - The Ramsay High School Alumni Association is preparing to celebrate a major milestone - 95 years of history, tradition and community.

From Sept. 21 to Sept. 27, the association will host a full week of events in Birmingham - both on campus and throughout the community - leading up to the homecoming game against Minor High School.

While alumni gatherings are typically filled with joy and reflection, similar events at other schools have occasionally been overshadowed by safety concerns. Earlier this year, a shooting occurred during Woodlawn High School’s alumni picnic, raising awareness about the importance of safety at large celebrations.
