ROMEO – Since both programs started back in the early-to-mid 1980s, victories over Utica Eisenhower have been hard to come by for Romeo.

One such rare occasion happened Wednesday night.

Romeo defeated visiting Eisenhower for the second straight season, this time coming in a thrilling 3-2 victory overt the visiting Eagles in Macomb Area Conference Red Division play.

Two-sport star Owen Perry, who also runs cross-country for the Bulldogs, scored a pair of goals as a center back to lead Romeo. Dylan Heidt added the other goal for the Bulldogs.

Brayden Burke, a returning All-State Honorable Mention midfielder, chipped in with two assists, while Joseph Celaj also drew an assist for Romeo (3-1-4, 2-0-1).
