Like many living under this bizarre federal administration, my jaw has hit the floor so many times, I’ll need extensive reconstruction. Another jaw-drop came after reading a statement by Ed Martin of the Justice Department’s Weaponization Working Group. In an Aug. 21 letter to Fed Chairman Jerome Powell, Mr. Martin urged the removal of Lisa Cook, a Federal Reserve governor, due to an inquiry into whether she falsified mortgage application documents. To bolster his request, Mr. Martin wrote, “After all, no American thinks it is appropriate that she serve during this time with a cloud hanging over her.”
