Several new community art installations have been unveiled across Saugeen Shores.
The town says the art pieces in Port Elgin and Southampton reflect the community’s strong commitment to placemaking, cultural development, and downtown enhancement.
Mayor Luke Charbonneau: “It’s part of a plan the town has had over the last couple of years in art to encourage public art in our communities so now we have got these new murals that have been put up.”
To date, the unveiled art pieces include:
-Great Blue Heron – a hand-painted mural at 698 Goderich Street in Port Elgin by local artist Emilie Darlington
