Organizers say the Warren Community Garden that kicked off this year on Toepfer Road was a great success.
“We had 12 garden beads and grew and gave out more than 100 pounds of food,” said garden volunteer Lauren Schandevel. “We are looking to renew the lease on the property or possibly purchase it.”
At a Tuesday meeting, Warren City Council President Angela Rogensues asked council attorney Jeff Schroder what the next steps would be to ensure garden volunteers had a plan firmly in place prior to the start of the 2026 growing season.
