In his first public appearance since a woman accused him of sexual assault and asked a court for protection from him, Oklahoma County Commissioner Myles Davidson ignored demands that he resign from office but said he would step down from two leadership posts.

Commissioners Brian Maughan and Jason Lowe both acknowledged the seriousness of the allegations made by a 43-year-old Norman woman, who is seeking a protective order against Davidson. But they said Davidson, 50, deserves his day in court.
