LITTLE FALLS — Camp Ripley will host its biannual open house Sunday, Sept. 14.
The camp will be opening its doors to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday with a display of weapons and equipment, Humvee rides, a car show and vendors serving food and drinks.
This year’s theme is the modernization of the Minnesota National Guard.
Tony Housey, a Camp Ripley public affairs officer, said they will have new weapons and weapon systems on display to show how the Minnesota National Guard is in the process of modernization.
The family-friendly event will have free admission and food vendors on site. There will be Humvee rides and the 34th Infantry Division Band. The military museum will also be open at no cost and an Air Force C-130 cargo plane will be on display.
Camp Ripley is located at 1
