For a football game that offered little drama for three-plus quarters it sure had a dramatic finish. With the Warriors leading 9-0, Alexandria scored with three minutes to play. Then after intercepting a Brainerd pass, an Alex 30-yard field goal try went wide left with just 12.4 seconds remaining, preserving the 9-7 win.

30 years ago (1995)

A San Jose Sharks hockey scout was injured when the vehicle he was riding in flipped over after colliding with a car at NW 5th and James Streets. The car was driven by a Sharks player with another player as passenger. All three are from Russia, making it a tough translating job for the Brainerd police.
