A travel expert has called for a rethink on school holiday dates - and not just because of the extortionate cost many families and teachers face if they want to go away.
Julia Lo Bue-Said, chief executive of the Advantage Travel Partnership, has called for radical alterations to academic calendars, arguing that soaring temperatures in many holiday destinations are making it increasingly challenging for parents, children and school staff to make the most of their breaks.
