PHOENIX — Dream City Church, where conservative activist Charlie Kirk worshiped and frequently hosted high-profile political rallies, is mourning his death.

The church shared a photo on Facebook shortly before President Donald Trump announced Kirk's death, asking the community to join in prayer, calling Kirk’s influence “profound,” and highlighting his commitment to advancing faith through the church’s Freedom Nights events.

Kirk, CEO and co-founder of Turning Point USA, was outspoken about his faith and frequently mentioned his belief in God at political gatherings. He helped put Dream City in the national spotlight when the church hosted Trump rallies in both 2020 and 2024.

Former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who attended the 2024 rally, said Kirk’s speeches inspired him.
