FRENCH CAMP, Calif. —

Construction is about to get underway on what San Joaquin County leaders describe as the largest behavioral health investment in the county's history.

Project planners of San Joaquin County's BeWell campus – which will be built on a piece of land on South El Dorado Street, east of Interstate 5, said the facility will be transformational for the community.

"This is a game changer for San Joaquin County,” said District 2 Supervisor Paul Canepa. “This has been a vision for behavioral health and how to treat them better and give them more dignity in our community. We're a one-stop shop."
