Images of how two new tower blocks containing 500 flats could transform the skyline of a north Manchester district have been released.

LWP Redbank Ltd has launched a public consultation on plans to transform 50–54 Red Bank, just north of the city centre between the Green Quarter and Cheetham Hill.

The home-builder describes the area as 'a key gateway to the Northern Gateway regeneration area'.

The developer's vision is to put up two towers of 18 and 43 storeys. They would contain 509 new homes, made up of one, two and three-bedroom flats.

The developer said that if the plans are improved residents would benefit from shared amenities, landscaped outdoor areas and sweeping city views.
