AUSTIN (KXAN) — It's not often that a team walks away from a 38-7 win in week two of the season, still unhappy with the way they performed as a whole.
Ohio State is in the rearview mirror, but the mistakes were still showing up in the win against San Jose State. The offense accounted for 472 total yards, but clearly left food on the plate with errors.
The Longhorns committed 12 penalties for 115 yards and need to clean up the errors ahead of Saturday's game against UTEP.
"The 12 penalties, that wasn't the standard at all," running back CJ Baxter said. "After the game we felt it and that was the first thing we all said, 'we could've played better'."
